Are you familiar with the United States Postal Service (USPS) Informed Delivery Service?
It's designed to help:
• Those who travel
• Those who do not pay their bills automatically (bank/credit card deduction) and pay when invoice is received
• Those with multiple homes
• Those who are responsible for aging parents/relatives
• Those with rental properties
Understanding the service:

• Free and optional service available to the following:
• Residential consumers (those residing in eligible locations – see below)
• Eligible P.O. Box addresses
• Able to log-in and view via computer, tablet and/or mobile device
• Digitally preview your letter sized mail (greyscale images of exterior)
• Daily email will show the first (10) pieces of incoming letter-sized mail
• Daily email is sent typically before 9am local time
·• Secure dashboard allows you to see all incoming mail
Packages
• Can be viewed via the dashboard
• Tracking number
• Shipping customer name (if available)
• Estimated arrival date
Other benefits
• Leave delivery instructions if you won’t be home to accept a package(s)
• Schedule a redelivery
• Set up email/text notifications to track delivery status of your package(s)
How to enroll
: • Go to https://www.usps.com/
· • Click on “Informed Delivery” – upper right hand corner
• See if the service is available in your area
• “Sign Up for Free”
• Input street address
• Create User Name and Password
• Create security answers
• Verify identity
Downside/considerations:
· • The service is not available in every zip code. To verify the service visit https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action
· • Images are only provided for letter-sized mail pieces that are processed through USPS' automated equipment
• Not all mail is eligible
• Not currently available for business customers (subject to change)
· • If sharing a household (roommates, families, etc.), you will receive images for all mail delivered to the household
• Only one email address per user
